PSI for High Tunnels

 Q. Is it necessary to do a PSI for crops grown in high tunnels? The soil test FIV-P is >150 and the crops are planted in the soil; however the high tunnel sheds the rain which eliminates potential for erosion. (Posted 11-10-11)

A. Due to the controlled nature of management operations it is not necessary to perform a PSI for crops grown in high tunnels. (Renato Cuizon, MDA)
